I saw myself in this so clearly . I’m a spiritual hybrid of CME and AME Zion Methodism, Baptist churches in my hometown of Grambling and beyond, the Charismatic movement, mysticism, process theology, the theological teachings of my bishops and others, the Disciples of Christ, the UCC, my theological formation at Brite Divinity School and Perkins School of Theology and the diversity of people and expressions of faith I found there, Black theology, and the deep roots of womanist theology. They are all home for me and at home in me. They are also combined with and informed by my broad musical calling and my pastoral care calling. I can’t “pick one” and know that I’m just all of these things together.

I continue to be gathered and to embody that gathering to pass along the riches of these traditions and to teach and nurture others. Thanks for your eloquence in describing this reality!
